A seasoned intellectual property practitioner, Raymond J. Lillie has been with Carella Byrne since 1986. He has helped clients in a wide range of industries obtain and protect their patents, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patent searches, and preparing opinions on patentability, patent validity, and infringement. His experience is particularly robust in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, purification of chemicals and other substances, and hydrocarbon conversion and processing. In addition to his patent practice, Raymond has also worked on interference cases before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and prepared and prosecuted trademark applications.
Raymond is a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight of the Bishop McLaughlin Council from 1990-1991, 1993-1994, and 2015-2016 and as a District Deputy from 1997-2002. Since November 2003, he has been the Chairman of the Child ID Kit Program for the New Jersey State Council, Knights of Columbus.
